How much is an 8 x 4 Trailer ?
That’s a simple question, but let’s first take a look at the variety of the 8 x 4 trailers we have available.
Saris do a number of different 8 x 4 trailers, so here we will take a look at the specs of those models so you can choose the 8 x 4 that may best suit your needs. While all of these will accomodate a full 8 x 4 sheet laid flat on their floor their weight carrying capacity and main features may differ significantly.
All Saris trailers are renowned for their build quality and their finish and have an independent suspension and a 13pin electric plug ( adaptors to 7pin available ) and come with a 3 year guarantee. Each trailer is fully Type Approved , is fitted with a VIN plate and has a certificate of conformity. 1> Mc Alu Pro Range
We have 3 trailer models from the Mc Alu Pro range. These have a galvanised steel frame and Aluminum sides with a steel top rail. They are all the same size @ 2550mm x 1330mm (8’4” x 4′ 4” ) All 3 models can be fitted with the same front rack , caged sides (leaf rack) , flat vinyl cover or high vinyl cover accessories.

DV 75
First up is the Mc Alu Pro DV75. This is an unbraked , 750 KG Single axle trailer, with an unladen wight of 180 Kg , so has a load carrying capacity of 570 Kg. It has 13” wheels. It is also available with a “tipping drawbar” or fold down front panel. Popular additions are …Spare wheel , Jockey wheel and rear prop stands.

Next up is the heavier duty Mc Alu Pro DV 135. This is a single axle , braked 1350 Kg trailer, with an unladen weight of 235Kg , so has a load carrying capacity of 1115 Kg
It is fitted with a Jockey wheel as standard. It has 14” wheels.
This is a popular model as it carries over a ton and allows many B licence holders to tow it fully laden with a car.

DV2000
This is a more substantial Double axle, fully braked 2000Kg Trailer , with an unladen weight of 340Kg , so has a load carrying capacity of 1660 Kg. It is fitted with a Jockey wheel as standard. It has 13” wheels. You will need a BE licence and a substantial towing vehicle to utilise it’s full load capacity, but many B licence holders may be able to legally carry a load of over a ton with their car.(depending on the car model ) For example, with a Skoda Octavia 1.6 diesel with a towing capacity of 1400Kg and an overall allowed combined total weight of 3350, you could legally carry a load of 1060 Kg on this trailer.

Classic Wood BMG 135

This is a similar type trailer with a Galvanised steel frame but with a UV Resistant 15mm Wooden Body. This is a single axle , braked 1350 Kg trailer, with an unladen weight of 265Kg , so has a load carrying capacity of 1085 Kg
It is fitted with a Jockey wheel as standard. It has 14” wheels.
This is a popular model as it carries over a ton and allows many B licence holders to tow it fully laden with a car.
